Time’s slowly but surely ticking as X-men: Days of Future Past hits theaters July 2014. While 2014 seems as if it will never come, for X-fans, every bit of news revealed for the anticipated film will bring our favorite mutants even closer. Thanks to Twitter and director Bryan Singer, we now have our first casting news regarding Days of Future Past. We can officially welcome back, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoyMichael FassbenderJennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult!

After Matthew Vaughn stepped down from the directing chair to helm the Mark Millar project Secret Service, Singer decided it was time to take control. His dedication to the X-men franchise goes back to the 1999 film that started it all, and with the brilliance of X2 on his resume, he’s proven that his imagination and treatment of the massive realm go unrivaled. Basically, the franchise is back in great hands!… (Click title above to continue reading)

Video: Joss Whedon Talks the Zombie Apocalypse & Voting for Romney

By now, you have probably realized my love of all things Joss Whedon. The man has done more for fan boys and girls than anyone. You want proof? How’s about Buffy the Vampire SlayerAngelFirefly, and the big one – The Avengers. The fact that the world’s coolest superheroes are in his capable hands is something that gives me immense joy. He is constantly making things that are awesome, and right now he’s got the S.H.I.E.L.D television show and The Avengers 2 on his plate. And boy, do I want to see both of those come to life. But fortunately for us, Joss Whedon doesn’t have to shut himself away for a year in order to create another great summer blockbuster. Never one to shy away from commentary (just watchThe Cabin in the Woods DVD), Joss has given us the gift of lightening the mood of the intense political race… (CLICK TITLE ABOVE TO CONTINUE READING)

Jamie Foxx In Talks to Play Villain Electro in ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′

This is one bit of news I don’t think anyone saw coming, especially today. Django Unchained star, Jamie Foxx is indeed in early talks to star as the/one of the main villains of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Earlier this year, Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man rebooted the web-slinging franchise with much success. Instead of kicking off the story with the obvious villain, The Green Goblin, Webb went with The Lizard — a choice that had many questioning the reboot from the start. For the second installment, Webb visited the comics of 1964, back when Stan Lee and Steve Ditko first gave birth to Max Dillon’s alter ego, Electro… (CLICK TITLE ABOVE TO CONTINUE READING)

Mangold Promises More Rage in ‘The Wolverine’ + a New Poster

Over the years, 20th Century Fox has refused to give fans the Wolverine they’ve come to know and love from the comics of the past and present. It was clear when writer Len Wein & artists Herb Trimpe first introduced the character back in ’74 & ’75 that Wolverine was a man with a troubled past, which the films have explored repeatedly. However, the films have failed to capture the character’s true rage and hunger. Thankfully, director James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma) is looking to change that.

Both Hugh Jackman and Mangold sat down in a live chat with Marvel’s Ryan Penagos to talk about The Wolverine, which you should know is not a prequel, but will instead take place after X-men: The Last Stand making it a sequel. Let’s hope this film doesn’t screw up the X-men timeline even further as it’s a problematic point that X-men: Days of Future Past will have to work… (Click title above to continue reading)

The Epic First ‘Iron Man 3′ Trailer Shows a Different Side of Tony Stark

For the past couple of days, Marvel has been teasing us with the first poster, a look at The Mandarin, and trailers for the trailer (all of which you can see here). The wait is over! Early this morning Marvel Studios and Disney released the very first trailer for the highly anticipated Iron Man sequel and the first film to launch Marvel’s Phase Two.

Ho-Lee Smokes!

What an awesome thing to wake up to this morning. The trailer definitely raises a lot of questions, but hey, that’s what a movie trailer is supposed to do. The trailer gives the feeling that the film will be dark and serious, and is trying to steer away from the comedic vibe of the first two in franchise.

It’ll definitely be interesting to see what direction the series takes since switching directors from Jon Favreau to Shane Black. Marvel Executive and Producer Kevin Feige has said in interviews, that we’ll see Tony Stark at his most broken since he was captive in a cave in the opening act of the first Iron Man film, and from the looks of the first trailer, that’s exactly what’s going to happen… (Click title above to continue reading)

‘Iron Man 3′ Overload! Two New Trailer Teasers & A Poster

The franchise that started it all for Marvel Entertainment is currently experiencing one of the largest promotional efforts for a superhero film. It’s expected that Iron Man 3 will be one of Marvel’s biggest films to date, but how big? How much will the extravaganza gross at the box office? Well, it’s too early to guess just yet, but hopefully the new footage and poster can give us some type of hint.

Forget just releasing the teaser trailer randomly, Marvel Entertainment’s promotional team is going all out for Iron Man 3. They know exactly how to get the fan boys and girls going.Within a period of 24 hours, we’ve received one new poster and two new teasers to the full length teaser trailer, which will premiere Tuesday 12:01 a.m. PST. EST viewers, looks like we received the short end of the stick this time around… (Click title above to continue reading)
