The franchise that started it all for Marvel Entertainment is currently experiencing one of the largest promotional efforts for a superhero film. It’s expected that Iron Man 3 will be one of Marvel’s biggest films to date, but how big? How much will the extravaganza gross at the box office? Well, it’s too early to guess just yet, but hopefully the new footage and poster can give us some type of hint.
Forget just releasing the teaser trailer randomly, Marvel Entertainment’s promotional team is going all out for Iron Man 3. They know exactly how to get the fan boys and girls going.Within a period of 24 hours, we’ve received one new poster and two new teasers to the full length teaser trailer, which will premiere Tuesday 12:01 a.m. PST. Iron Man 3 kicks off Marvel Entertainment’s highly anticipated “Phase 2.” The name simply implies the second phase of the production company’s future film projects, which consist of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant Man, Thor: The Dark World, andGuardians of the Galaxy. Who better to kick off this exciting new adventure than Robert Downey Jr. and the cast and crew that stapled Marvel Entertainment as one of Hollywood’s most successful production houses?
Combined, Iron Man and Iron Man 2 raked in an impressive worldwide gross of 1.2 billion. And now Marvel looks to tie up the trilogy with the third installment. Directed by Shane Black, the film started production earlier this summer. After all the excitement I experienced on Day One, I was ready to go back out for another day of Iron Man 3 filming. The day started off a little slow. The first thing I noticed when arriving at the location was that the AIM sign from yesterday was now gone and crew members were removing the landscaping they had planted yesterday. There was more interior filming so we couldn’t really see or hear anything. Iron Man 3 is only a week or so into production in North Carolina, and already spoilers are being leaked left and right. The latest potential spoiler to be revealed is that a particular red, white, and blue version of Iron Man’s armor will be featured in next summer’s sure-to-be blockbuster.
