For the past couple of days, Marvel has been teasing us with the first poster, a look at The Mandarin, and trailers for the trailer (all of which you can see here). The wait is over! Early this morning Marvel Studios and Disney released the very first trailer for the highly anticipated Iron Man sequel and the first film to launch Marvel’s Phase Two.
Ho-Lee Smokes!
What an awesome thing to wake up to this morning. The trailer definitely raises a lot of questions, but hey, that’s what a movie trailer is supposed to do. The trailer gives the feeling that the film will be dark and serious, and is trying to steer away from the comedic vibe of the first two in franchise.
It’ll definitely be interesting to see what direction the series takes since switching directors from Jon Favreau to Shane Black. Marvel Executive and Producer Kevin Feige has said in interviews, that we’ll see Tony Stark at his most broken since he was captive in a cave in the opening act of the first Iron Man film, and from the looks of the first trailer, that’s exactly what’s going to happen… (Click title above to continue reading)
The franchise that started it all for Marvel Entertainment is currently experiencing one of the largest promotional efforts for a superhero film. It’s expected that Iron Man 3 will be one of Marvel’s biggest films to date, but how big? How much will the extravaganza gross at the box office? Well, it’s too early to guess just yet, but hopefully the new footage and poster can give us some type of hint.
Forget just releasing the teaser trailer randomly, Marvel Entertainment’s promotional team is going all out for Iron Man 3. They know exactly how to get the fan boys and girls going.Within a period of 24 hours, we’ve received one new poster and two new teasers to the full length teaser trailer, which will premiere Tuesday 12:01 a.m. PST. EST viewers, looks like we received the short end of the stick this time around… (Click title above to continue reading)
Iron Man 3 kicks off Marvel Entertainment’s highly anticipated “Phase 2.” The name simply implies the second phase of the production company’s future film projects, which consist of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant Man, Thor: The Dark World, andGuardians of the Galaxy. Who better to kick off this exciting new adventure than Robert Downey Jr. and the cast and crew that stapled Marvel Entertainment as one of Hollywood’s most successful production houses?
Combined, Iron Man and Iron Man 2 raked in an impressive worldwide gross of 1.2 billion. And now Marvel looks to tie up the trilogy with the third installment. Directed by Shane Black, the film started production earlier this summer. Black and the crew are now finished in Wilmington, NC, and have taken the production to Dania Beach, Florida, where the final scenes are being shot…. (click title above to continue reading)
In honor of the DVD/Blu-ray release of the summer’s best movie, I think it’s high time we make fun of all the awesomeness. While I absolutely loved every minute of The Avengers on the big screen (even shelling out the dough to see it three times), I have to admit that there are always those silly little things that you miss when you are just so in awe of all the amazing superheroes. Fortunately for me and everyone else, there is the Honest Trailers series from Screen Junkies. It seems designed to point out all the flaws in the film, from logical plot points, funny faces made by characters, and the fact that it only features the characters that Marvel owns in the movie (and doesn’t add other Avengers such as Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, or X-Men)… (click title above to continue reading)
When it was first announced that Marvel’s The Avengers was being released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 25th, details also emerged of a Ten-Disc Limited Edition Six-Movie Collector’s Blu-ray Set. Well today we have a first look at what will be featured in that set… (Click the link above to read more)
If you’re a fan of Marvel movies, you may have noticed a certain elderly gentleman with glasses and a mustache who keeps appearing in the films. Who is this man? It’s none other than comic book legend, Stan Lee.
To celebrate the release of Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man reboot hitting theaters this week, and Stan Lee’s inevitable cameo in the film, I have compiled a list of Stan Lee cameos from Marvel TV shows and movies…
There are spoilers in this article! Turn back now if you don’t want to know! Also, if you haven’t read about my experiences on Day One of Iron Man 3 filming in Cary, you can read it here. Remember to click on the photos for larger versions.
After all the excitement I experienced on Day One, I was ready to go back out for another day of Iron Man 3 filming. The day started off a little slow. The first thing I noticed when arriving at the location was that the AIM sign from yesterday was now gone and crew members were removing the landscaping they had planted yesterday. There was more interior filming so we couldn’t really see or hear anything. Our good friend “Bob” was back controlling the crowd and trying his best to convince us that we were watching the filming of a toothpaste commercial for
As most of you may already know, Iron Man 3 (code name: Caged Heat) is filming in my home state of North Carolina. As a huge fan of the first two films, as well as any other superhero film, I was more than excited when I found this out. So you could only imagine how much more excited I got when I heard that the film was going to be shooting in Cary just five minutes away from where I live… practically in my backyard!
The filming today took place at Epic Games (where Gears of War was developed) on Caitboo Ave. I arrived there around 11am, armed with a camera, ready to spend the day taking pictures. The first thing I noticed when I got there was that right at the front entrance of the…
Last week, Reel Movie Nation brought you a story about The Avengers Blu-ray and DVD details. Now, thanks to my obsession with superheroes and some late night internet browsing, we have a look at some potential Blu-ray and DVD covers courtesy of Amazon.com.
Out of the four potential movie covers, I definitely love the cover for the 3-D Blu-ray/DVD combo pack the most. I was a big fan of that particular Avengers poster and it only makes sense to use it as the cover. I’m a little less impressed with the other covers. I realize that…
