Disney’s latest animated feature, Wreck-It Ralph, has a lot going for it. Filled with chart-topping tunes, colorful worlds, mind-boggling action, and intriguing characters, the new international trailer gives viewers exactly what they’ve been craving for in a damn good animated film. Is it too early to say that this will the the highest grossing animated feature of 2012? I don’t think so.
Push It To The Limit!
Disney’s marketing approach from Wreck-It Ralph is simply brilliant as their targeted audience varies from young kids and teens to video gamers and comedy lovers. And with the recent announcement of Skrillex, Owl City, and AKB48′s involvement with the soundtrack, the film’s also reaching out to international music fanatics. The new trailer creates a fast paced ambiance that rides high on Usher’s “More” and Flo Rida’s “Good Feeling” right till little Vanellope von Schweetz yells, “Top shelf!”
Animated films that succeed do so because of their ability to entertain both children and adults. The evidence resides in films such as Shrek, Toy Story, and The Incredibles. Director Rich Moore’s resume proves that he’s no stranger to adult comedy. As director for Futurama and The Simpsons (1990 – 1993), everyone in the theater will get something out of Wreck-It Ralph.
