As you’re about to see, this new trailer for the upcoming DreamWorks Animation adventure comedy film, The Croods, is a bit different. Mostly because in the beginning you get to meet co-directors and co-writers Kirk Demicco and Chris Sanders, who then introduce the characters and story line themselves! There’s probably no better way to do it.
Kirk Demicco was a screenwriter and co-producer of 2005′s Racing Stripes but made his directorial debut in 2008′s Space Chimps. But it’s Chris Sander’s excitement before the trailer that really has me intrigued. You probably recognize his name most recently as the director and writer of the incredibly awesome animated How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch. Sanders has also been a writer on several other animated films like Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Mulan.
