New ‘Wreck-it Ralph’ Trailer Loads Fun.’s ‘Some Nights’ & Aims for the Heart

As the fall season begins, the studios behind the year’s best animated films get geared up for battle. With an impressive opening, LAIKA Studio’s ParaNorman currently leads the pack, setting the bar high for its competition. Genndy Tartakovsky’s Hotel Transylvania and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie will hit theaters this season, and the anticipation for both are pretty high. But there’s a new animation on the horizon, and judging by the first full length trailer, Wreck-it Ralph could very well throw its competitors for a whirl.

He’s large, he’s mean, and though he’s known for his destructive behavior, he’s looking to change the way his video game comrades view him. Directed by Rich Moore (Futurama, The Simpsons), Wreck-it Ralph’s (John C. Reilly) mission is to become a hero, but he’s often overshadowed by the real good guy, Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer).
