New Trailer for ‘Jack and Diane’: A Lesbian Werewolf Teen Thriller

At first glimpse, Jack and Diane comes off as your average coming-of-age flick, a genre that’s been mastered in recent years by the likes of screenwriters Diablo Cody (Juno), Richard Ayoade (Submarine), and Thomas McCarthy (Win Win). However, there’s more behind the sugar-coated shell, as the new trailer reveals an intriguing hook. Sure, our main character Daine may be dealing with love sickness and raging hormones, but there’s a much bigger problem at stake — her love for Jack comes with the growth of fur, nails, and a howl.

The film tells the story of Diane (Juno Temple) as she falls in love with Jack (Riley Keough) while visiting NYC. Throw in the pressures of growing up and an overbearing aunt (Cara Seymour) and the couple’s young love grows sour; Jack discovers that Diane has plans to attend school out of the country. Trying to numb the pain, Jack decides to push Diane away. But Diane’s dealing with a change from within, as her body, starting from the inside out, takes form of a werewolf-like monster… (click link above to view trailer)
